This new jewel box design is made with two kinds of woods. The basic wood is a mahogany, commonly called Tigerwood for its color and marbled black striping. The box is approx. 6 inches wide, 5 inches tall and nearly 4 inched deep. The brass hinged
Lid opens to reveal the top, felt lined section which has an aromatic cedar bottom.
The front of the box is gently curved with a leaf pattern scroll sawed into the top part of the front. Below that is a drawer which is made of aromatic cedar, also lined in felt. The drawer is approx. 4 inches wide, 1 1/4 inch high and two inches deep.
Brass feet with the matching brass knob for the drawer finish this unique jewelry box. This box design can be made of nearly any kind of woods to suit color or décor and different color felts are available also. The scroll saw design can also be altered with other patters such as hearts or dolphins.
