The scriptures are our nourishment.
They feed us every day
And, from the pages, we will see
A light to find our way.
They tell us how the world was formed
And how we came to be.
They tell us of transgression,
that affects both you and me.
The stories told are strong and bold,
Like Noah and his boat,
And how the Ark protected them
And kept us all a-float.
They nourish us with words from Christ
And show us how to live.
They witness of His matchless love
And teach us how to give.
The scriptures teach us what we need,
Like how to handle strife
And how to gain a knowledge of
Our Savior and His life.
