Our Tree by James O'Brien

This day has been an awesome day
It lives within my heart.
We walked together hand in hand
And did right from the start

Then as we strolled along the path
Through mountain's trees we wined
We came upon a clearing that
I've dreamed of in my mind.

This meadow stretched before us and
With in it grew a tree
T'was up atop a little knoll
And crew for you and me.

I kissed you softly on the lips
We then continued on.
We strolled together up the hill
The outside world was gone.

And then we settled 'neath the tree
Within the shade it spread
And joined in love as in my dreams
As grass became our bed.

Oh yes, it was an awesome day
The day we found our tree,
And shared a very special time
I feel in love with thee.
