When looking back through history
Some parallels are found.
We see that folks have always fought
Protecting life and ground.

We also see that down through time
In written history,
It says that people also fought
To keep their liberty.

Yet as we look back through the years
At Satan’s evil ways.
We find that through his servants, He
Has wanted all our praise.

But freedom, and the right to live
In peace and harmony,
Are still the causes we fight for
And for God’s help we plea.

As long as we live righteously
He’ll lend his guiding hand,
To help us know what we must do
To guard this favored land.

Now as we think of those that fought
And died to keep us free,
Let’s keep in mind their sacrifice
Protecting liberty.

Let’s show respect for emblems raised
And those that rallied ‘round;
Those flags that symbolize the cause
For which the bugles sound.

Let’s do our part and keep our faith
In God’s protective hand,
And live our lives according to
The gospel and it’s plan.

And then as we show gratitude
For those that sacrificed,
Let’s also give, in humble prayer
Our thanks to Jesus Christ.
