The child in us kneels down to pray
With humble hands and heart,
And demonstrates a lovely way
A prayer to God should start.

Our inner child will help us find
The path we really seek;
When we yield to the child's mind
To choose the words we speak.

And when our hearts are open wide
While on our bended knee,
The Lord will be there by our side
Although we may not see.
