While morning chill is in the air
My day begins anew.
This day begins with no mistakes,
But much I need to do.

With this in mind I then bow down
On humbled knees I pray.
I ask the Lord to be with me
As I begin my day.

I thank him for the friends I have;
For life and family too.
I thank him for the blessings of
The work I have to do.

From choices that I have today,
I pray I'll choose the right
And be the best that I can be,
Improved within his sight.

Now that I've said my prayer to him
My day can now begin,
But know I'll be back on my knees
Because I'll likely sin.

I'm grateful that I can repent
And clean my life each day
So I can start each morning fresh,
As I kneel down to pray.
