My Best Try

My Savior teaches how to love,
He shows me how to live.
He taught me from his throne above
And shows me how to give.

He blessed me with so much in life
So much I'm grateful for.
He also blessed me with the strife
That challenged faith and more.

For it is through my trials each day,
I've learned humility,
And seek forgiveness as I pray
For weakness that's in me.

And from these blessings, I have grown
In strength and courage too,
For I have learned I'm not alone
And much, I need to do.

So now I stand, erect and strong
With confidence that he,
Will help me overcome the wrong
And better will I be.

And stronger am I, in his love
Then as the days go by,
I'll share my faith in God above
And give it my best try.
