When kids are bad and misbehave,
We try to change their ways.
We council and explain to them
That goodness always pays.
Sometimes they learn with spoken words,
At times a bribe will do,
But there are times they just don't care,
But change we must pursue.
At times like these we try "time-outs"
To curb the way they act.
Sometimes it works, but others not,
And that my friend is fact.
And when "time-outs" just aren't enough,
To change the child's ways,
Then stronger is the punishment
And more the parent prays.
Saddam is like the wayward child,
We've tried to help before;
We've sanctioned and we've bargained with,
And even taught with war.
"Time-outs" we granted many times
And still this man defies.
He hides and plays his ruthless games,
Then covers them with lies.
It's clear the "time-outs" haven't worked
It's clear he won't behave,
And sadly, he has even put
His own, in early graves.
The time has come for discipline,
To change his will and course,
Because he won't change things himself,
Now change will come by force.
Then safer will his people be,
When we have done our part,
To take away his toys and games,
And aid a country's heart.
I pray our course is just with God,
We've faith, this cause is right,
We'll liberate, to make all safe,
And for his cause we fight!
