The day was long and packed with work,
But work we loved to do,
And then to dinner we would go,
When all the work was through.
The restaurant, down by the sea,
Is were we go to dine;
To share a meal by candle light,
While watching ocean’s brine.
And then with dinner’s appetite,
Completely satisfied,
We’d take a walk along the beach,
With you right by my side.
Together strolling hand-in-hand,
While sun sets in the sea,
I can’t believe how blessed I am,
To have you here with me.
And then, refreshed from all the work,
To which we gave our best,
We then plan for the coming day,
Which we will meet with zest.
