All We Do and Say

Today we live with challenges
That greet us every day.
We meet them in our homes and jobs,
And while we are at play.

The firemen, policemen too,
Work hard and do their best,
And they are honored as they serve,
For courage they've possessed.

And yes, there are the laborers,
That work our fields and farms,
And folks that serve our "Uncle Sam"
To keep us safe from harm.

But there's a job that's harder than
A man could ever do,
It's done by women giving birth,
To folks like me and you.

So join me as we celebrate,
This coming Mother's Day,
And show our love and gratitude,
In all we do and say.
