Traveled Paths by James O'Brien

We each have paths to walk in life
Which start and end on Earth.
Its how we walk the paths we take,
That demonstrates our worth.

Decisions that we make each day,
Define our chosen way,
While some may change their chosen course
Some help us not to stray.

And as we travel down our paths
We find companions there;
Some linger for a little while,
Their lives they want to share.

While some companions are our friends
And share the things in life,
But also help support us through
Our challenges and strife.

Often, we have family
To share the path we take,
And help each other on our way,
For love and family's sake.

But also as we live our lives,
Companionships will change,
And sadly paths will separate,
As lives will rearrange.

The kids will marry, friends may move,
Yet, others come our way,
But please recall, the best from each,
And this, for all, I pray.

Let's stay the course within our path
That leads to Heaven's door,
So we'll enjoy the blessings that
Our Father has in store.
