Back Home

The path of life we travel on
May change from day to day.
And vary with the choices made
As we go on our way.

We are accountable each day
For paths we travel on,
And choices either good or bad,
Are either right or wrong.

But here are just a couple thoughts
That help me every day;
I can improve the path I'm on,
If I'll just think to pray.

Regardless of the path we take
Or how we choose to roam,
The path for each of us will end
Back at a place called home.

Yes, Home is where our Father lives
And there each path concludes,
Where judgment comes to each and all,
In spite of all our moods.

And so while I am traveling
My life-defining road,
I pray the choices that I make
Will earn our Father's home.
