As seasons come and seasons go,
The years slide quickly by,
And as we near the end of each,
This fact we can’t deny.
With each and every passing year,
We’re older this is true,
But with experience and age,
We’ll gain some wisdom too.
And so this New Year’s Eve again,
We’ll end the passing year,
But at the stroke of twelve o’clock
We’ll celebrate and cheer.
And then renewed, we start again
With resolutions clear,
Let’s choose “A Closer Walk With Thee”
And choose His path to steer.
So here’s to peace and happiness,
A cup of kindness too,
And may we share our Father’s love,
In all we say and do.
